Note: Before going to the steps make sure you have an aadhaar number and aadhaar linked mobile in your hand.
Steps to download aadhaar card online
Step: 1 Go to https://uidai.gov.in/
Step: 2 Click Download Aadhaar link under My Aadhaar menu
Step: 3 Once landing on the download page. Enter your 12 digit aadhaar number.
Step: 4 Next you can see Checkbox I want masked Aadhaar? if you want to hide your aadhaar number in a downloaded e aadhaar card. Check this option otherwise just leave it.
Step: 5 Enter captcha shown in the box correctly and click send OTP button.
Step: 6 Now you receive a 6 digit OTP to your Aadhaar linked mobile number. Enter the 6 digits OTP in the given Enter OTP box.
Step: 7 After entering the OTP. Some times the website asks some survey questions like this Take a Quick Survey, Answer the survey questions, and come down.
Step: 8 Scroll to the page bottom, you can see the Verify and download button. Click on the button. That’s it, your e Aadhaar will be download.
Step: 9 The downloaded Aadhaar is the password-protected document. When you open the document it will ask the password.
Step: 10 Password the combination of the first four letters of your name(as in aadhaar) in capital letters and Year of birth (YYYY).
Example: Your name is SANJAY KUMAR and the Year of birth is 1990.
Then your e aadhaar password is SANJ1990
